Herbstreit talks smack for OSU - "Breaston=worthless"

"Breaston can go back to whatever he's doing these days, if they could ever find a way to actually apply him in the offense. He's worthless in my mind, outside of returning a few punts. I'll say that, and he'll end up winning the game for them on Nov. 18. But he hasn't done anything since his freshman year.''

The trouble with you U of M guys is that you don't read anything carefully. Herbstreit was saying that Breaston was worthless to Michigan this year because he is being improperly utilized.

The sentence just before the sentence containing the word "worthless" puts the quote in its proper context. Herbstreit has said as much on the radio to my personal knowledge.

But I have never expected rigorous attention to detail from U of M "grads."

Not that OSU grads or fans (as there aren't many OSU grads) would give a similar quote by a former Michigan player the benefit of the doubt either.

MORE COMMENTS FROM HERBSTREIT:

From same broadcast, Herbstreit noted that if the two teams were to have played the weekend of Nov. 4, "I don't think it would be close. Ohio State not only wins that game the way they're playing right now, maybe by a few scores."

I heard that comment live. I still agree with it today.
